Rain and snow protection for Roots blowers

As an important piece of equipment in the industrial field, Roots blowers are widely used in multiple key industries such as aquaculture, sewage treatment, pneumatic conveying and power generation, and play an irreplaceable role in ensuring the stable operation of the production process. In practical applications, the maintenance and upkeep of Roots blowers are directly related to the equipment's lifespan and operational safety. Especially for outdoor installed models, scientific protection and regular inspections are particularly crucial.

Some Roots blowers are installed outdoors, and rain shelters are usually set up for outdoor installation. The main function of the rain shelter is to protect the Roots blower and Roots air blower during rainy and snowy days. However, it is particularly necessary to remind that Roots blowers are prone to paint peeling, damage to bolts and inlet mufflers, rapid aging of electrical circuits, and erosion of impellers when exposed outdoors. It is still recommended to pay attention to protection, conduct more inspections, and focus on maintaining damaged components to ensure proper protection.

So, how should Roots blowers and air blowers be maintained and serviced on rainy days?

1. Regarding the issue of paint peeling

The paint on the machine casing, after being eroded by rain and exposed to the sun, is very likely to peel off. In this case, it is only necessary to refresh the paint again.

2. Regarding the issue of bolt rusting

After the rainy season, we need to wipe off the moisture on the bolts in time. We can also apply some grease on them to prevent the surface of the bolts from coming into direct contact with the outside air, fundamentally eliminating the possibility of rusting.

3. in response to the issue of accelerated aging of electrical circuits, the danger is relatively high, and leakage and power outages are prone to occur. It is necessary to promptly inspect and repair the circuits.

4. Regarding the wear and tear issue of imported mufflers

Users need to take protective measures to prevent rainwater from entering the inlet.

5.Regarding the issue of rainwater entering the interior of the fan

The impact of rainwater entering the fan interior on the impeller may cause the impeller to rust, which will affect its air volume and pressure. Such a situation needs to be avoided as much as possible.
